Sanmiro takes an important step in its responsible growth journey with the publication of its first Sustainability Report 2025.
The Report is an increasingly important tool for companies, enabling them to transparently communicate not only their economic performance, but also the environmental, social and organizational impact of their activities. For Sanmiro, it represents both a milestone and the beginning of a structured path towards sustainability.
The document clearly outlines the actions the company has undertaken in recent years. These include the development of innovative solutions based on circular economy principles, such as the ECO+ and RICE UP! product lines, which rely on alternative materials, as well as investments in energy efficiency, including the installation and expansion of photovoltaic systems.
These initiatives are complemented by concrete improvements in production processes, leading to a significant reduction in waste and a more efficient use of raw materials, together with the introduction of lower-impact solutions, such as the use of more natural components in treatments, the absence of water use in the production cycle, and the adoption of recycled packaging materials.
The Report also highlights the company’s commitment on an organizational and social level: a solid structure, a management system based on recognized standards such as ISO 9001 for quality and ISO 14001 for environmental management, a strong focus on people, and deep roots in the local territory. These elements contribute to a balanced and sustainable growth model.
The Sustainability Report has been prepared in accordance with the model developed by SUPSI within the Programma SMART, promoted by the Camera di Commercio Como-Lecco, confirming a shared and institutionally recognized approach.
This first publication marks a key milestone for Sanmiro, which aims to continue along its path of continuous improvement by setting increasingly clear and measurable goals.
The Report also outlines the next steps: from strengthening a more sustainable supply chain to expanding welfare initiatives, and to more precise measurement of environmental impacts. An invitation to look ahead, with the ambition to continue innovating responsibly.
